“This painting was done in Geneva when I started working as editor of a feminist magazine. I was very young, (24 years old), very idealistic and activist-minded. The woman is represented with a pen as a weapon. Later on, I travelled with it to India because it was small. I gifted it to a friend, and when his home was burglarized, it was also stolen.”
