KROKO by Boltina Shoehorns

A humble hero of footwear, bridging the gap between foot and shoe with effortless grace.

Born in the Victorian era to help ladies and aristocrats put on shoes more easily, shoehorn were originally carved on bone or horn. During the 16th Century, with the advent of tight-fitting shoes, the shoehorn became an essential accessory for the "Dandy"; made in different forms and materials (from silver to brass, from whalebone to ivory, from wood to tortoiseshell), robust fits made him become more and more an essential kit. Even nowadays, into a society characterized by wide categories of people who need postural assistance or simply a higher level of comfort, an accessory which constitutes a sort of extension of the person's arm is something appreciated everywhere.
