YOLO is an idea born in the post-pandemic era, from the desire of a group of international Entrepreneurs, driven by enthusiasm and fascinated by elegance, to propose something original and extravagant. Willing to go against the tide, it was decided to move unconventionally: by tracing anomalies and dysfunctionalities pertaining to objects of everyday life, exalting their versatility and their value. The philosophical concept behind YOLO is extremely simple: celebrating the unknown value of the simplest objects when used in an unconventional way, outside their original conception.

“La Matita 21”, the very first YOLO artifact, is the sole and only pencil in the world that does not write, but is very skilled in making every woman feel unique. This luxury pencil redefines high jewelry: crafted with sustainable cellulose acetate, gold, onyx, diamonds, and rubies, it embodies artistry and eco-consciousness.
A Collection limited to 21 pieces, each one is meticulously handmade and preciously decorated over a two-month long manufacturing process, conducted with unmatched attention to details.
Even without writing, "La Matita 21" is a statement of elegance, blending fine craftsmanship and environmental commitment.
“La Matita 21” belongs to a Limited collection of 21 units, each one protected by a pouch in precious lambskin.
Its accessories include a fine black leather lace, a pouch in precious lambskin, and a lip-shaped stand crafted from cellulose acetate.
“La Matita 21” is entirely handmade, using the highest quality materials. The pencil body is realized in cellulose acetate with a black onyx tip and a tail made in gold, 5.05gr 18KT, studded with 96 diamonds and 58 rubies.
“La Matita 21” by YOLO contains enclose within itself, a cylindrical glass micro-chip (NFC-tag) for short-range identification of the object and confirmation of its authenticity. Such chip has no battery and operates via micro-quartz at a frequency of 13.56 MHz. Recognition takes place by reading the chip from any mobile device, once equipped with any reading application.
“La Matita 21” by YOLO is a delicate object, a precious ally of feminine charm, deserving proper conservation. All the materials of which the object is made require care and attention.
External agents: chemicals / temperature / brightness / humidity
The cellulose acetate and the precious stones composing “La Matita 21” are materials sensitive to chemical substances. In contact with alcohols, hydrocarbons or chlorinated solvents there is a swelling or a loss of the plastic characteristics of the acetate, which is soluble in ketones. Strong mineral acids and bases, pure or concentrated oxidizing salts can cause chemical degradation of all such components. Due to its chemical nature, cellulose acetate shows a sensitive tendency to absorb water. The water content, in fact, plays a significant role on the physical and mechanical properties of this material. A high water content can greatly increase the impact resistance but makes the material softer, decreasing its thermal resistance. Sudden heating or cooling of the valuable materials used can cause superficial and/or structural damage. Storage at room temperature is recommended. “La Matita 21” should never be stored for long periods of time in environments where the temperature is higher than 24°C. Prolonged exposure to temperatures above 24°C could favour deformation phenomena. Temperatures below 14°C could instead favour fragility. “La Matita 21” should never be exposed to excessive sunlight, as direct exposure to sunlight is likely to raise temperatures and alter the physical state of the object. Prolonged direct exposure to sunlight or permanence in environments with intense and continuous irradiation can give rise to discoloration and deformation of the object. The suggested environmental humidity, for a correct conservation of “La Matita 21”, is between 40% and 60%. A humidity higher than 60% risks deforming the object; on the other hand, a humidity lower than 40% increases the fragility of the object and favors drying phenomena. A situation of extreme drying can cause structural fragility.
Cleaning and conservation
Contact of the object with hot or boiling water can cause surface bleaching or discoloration. For proper cleaning, we recommend the use of warm water and glycerin, possibly neutral soap. It is recommended to keep “La Matita 21” as far as possible inside its precious leather case.

Customers will receive tracking information once the order has been shipped. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers. Free shipping is available for orders over CHF 200.--.
Shipping costs vary according to the total amount of the order and the delivery destination. Preparation and packaging costs are free. We recommend you to group all your items in a single order. We cannot combine two orders placed separately and shipping fees apply to each of them.
