"This canvas was painted in my first home in India, in Kerala. I painted in the shade on the marble floor because it was nice and cool. I was fascinated by the couple Radha and Krishna, who represent divine love in Hinduism, even though they are not official spouses. In many versions of the myth, both are married to other people: they are lovers."
