“This is part of a trilogy; in another painting, the woman is dressing and in the other she is putting an earring on. I started it when I was staying in Dharamshala, the seat of the Dalai Lama in the lower Himalayas. I got the idea while doing a ten-day silent Vipassana retreat. I liked the paintings so much that I did two different trilogies on the same theme. ”
